We’re giving away a spot in Inked Voices' upcoming Young Adult Science Fiction and Fantasy First Pages Workshop with Eric Smith.
1. This spot is for a writer who is a person of color, OR who has a diverse background and is writing a novel related to their experience, frequently shorthanded on Twitter as #ownvoices.
2. Submissions are limited to Young Adult Science Fiction or Young Adult Fantasy.

We're doing this with two goals in mind. First, we want to see more writers from diverse, underrepresented or misrepresented backgrounds get published. And second, we want more readers to be able to see themselves in stories.

Diverse experiences include, but are not limited to: LGBTQIA, Native, people of color, gender diversity, people with disabilities, and ethnic, cultural, and religious minorities (learn more about We Need Diverse Books in children's literature: http://weneeddiversebooks.org/mission-statement/).

This application should take less than 5 minutes. Submit it through October 5th. We'll draw a winner from qualified applicants. Learn more about the workshop: https://www.inkedvoices.com/group/pro_group/331/ .
